Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance is their crowning glory. This is their cover of the Leadbelly song “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?” I highly suggest picking up the DVD as it has the entire performance unedited, which included a few songs that were not aired on MTV or on the CD.

This year’s Sub Pop Singles Club will include records (of the 7” variety) with music from such artists as Om, Unnatural Helpers, Tyvek, Black Mountain, Black Lips, Arthur & Yu, Mika Miko, Blues Control, Notwist, plus some stuff we’re not yet at liberty to divulge. And they won’t come out in that particular order, necessarily.

I have uttered that sentence more times than i would have liked to. There are a lot of bands that i recognize as being good, but for some unknown aural reason, i have not been able to enjoy them as much as i’d like to.

Fugazi- Growing up listening to hardcore, I loved Minor Threat(and still do). The first song i ever heard by Fugazi was “Waiting Room”. I immediately loved the song and bought a copy of 13 Songs. I gave the album a once over, but no other songs stood out like “Waiting Room” did. Over the years i have tried to listen to other albums, but nothing catches me. I know Stephen and all of my other friends who are big Fugazi fans are reading this in disgust and disappointment. I have tried many times, and I will continue to try to get into this band.
